Thursday, February 22 is National Chili Day, and Gold Star Chili is celebrating the day with an initiative to help fight hunger in the Berea area. For every 3-Way purchased on National Chili Day, Gold Star Chili Berea will be making a donation equal to the value of a 3-Way to the Berea Food Bank.
“National Chili Day is a fun day to celebrate with our customers, and it’s also a great opportunity to make a difference in our community,” said Dr. Nawar Soda franchise owner of Gold Star Chili Berea. “We’re excited to support the Berea Food Bank.”
Berea Food Bank is part of the Berea Faith Community Outreach organization that works for social justice in the community through direct service, education, and advocacy, striving to assure everyone’s access to basic goods and services. Through the Food Bank, individuals and families can receive food to help support them in times of need.
“We hope the community will come out to enjoy a 3-Way at Gold Star Chili on National Chili Day here in Berea and know that by doing so they will be helping provide hot meals for people who really do need them,” said Dave Kobersmith, President of Berea Faith Community Outreach. “We are incredibly thankful to Gold Star Chili for its support,”
A 3-Way is one of Gold Star Chili’s signature menu items. It combines three delicious layers starting with piping hot spaghetti, covered with Gold Star’s famous recipe Cincinnati-style Chili and topped with freshly shredded cheddar cheese. Known for its flavorful chili since 1965, Gold Star Chili’s menu features coneys, 3-, 4-, and 5-ways, burritos, fries and sides, deli sandwiches, salads, Vegetarian Chili, and more.
Gold Star Chili Berea is located at 638 Chestnut Street in Berea, Ky. It will be open from 10 a.m. to midnight on National Chili Day.
